With a Bachelor's in Social Work from Carthage College (Wisconsin) and a Master's in Social Work from the University of Denver (Colorado), I originally began work as a clinical therapist for women incarcerated. While I worked for the criminal justice non-profit (Intervention/BTS) and Jefferson County jail in Colorado, I witnessed firsthand the enduring challenges many women face in accessing comprehensive healthcare.

Over the next 5 years, my role evolved, culminating in my appointment as the Executive Director for BTS in 2016. My primary goal in leadership was to advocate wholeheartedly for access to quality healthcare and equitable treatment for underserved populations.

In 2019, I moved to New York and served as the Director of Behavioral Health at Bridging Access to Care, overseeing substance use and mental health clinics in Brooklyn, NY. However, like the rest of the world, in 2020, the onset of the pandemic catalyzed a swift adaptation in the field of social work, prompting me to redirect my focus to combatting the surge in domestic violence cases amidst dwindling service utilization nationwide. In late 2020, I assumed leadership as the Interim Director of Domestic Violence Services at Henry Street Settlement, a NYC-based Settlement House, overseeing the operations of a 28-family shelter for survivors of domestic violence and their children.

Immediately following the height of COVID, in 2021, I navigated my own relational trauma and set out on a path of subsequent healing. It was through this personal journey that I began to expand my own knowledge of the beneficial impacts of holistic care on trauma. I transitioned to private work and set out to help others navigate their own relational traumas on a more holistic and mindfulness based level.

Presently, I guide clients on their journeys of self-discovery, whether they are unraveling childhood or relational beliefs, navigating life-altering transitions, or seeking their authentic selves. In 2024, I became a certified Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapist in order to facilitate KAP treatment for individuals struggling with treatment resistant mental illness. It is through the use of psychedelics that we work on increasing neuro-plasticity and "rewiring" the brain around previously detrimental narratives.

In addition to my personal clinical work, I have worked as an adjunct clinical professor at the University of Denver, Graduate School of Social Work since 2017. I currently serve as a Clinical Director for ResilienceLab in New York and as Clinical Consultant and Supervisor for Behavioral Treatment Services in Colorado. It is one of my top passions and interests to nurture the growth and development of emerging professionals in the field.
